| Win Spelling Bee with customized tutoring
program |
|
eSpindle Learning is the first eLearning program
that supports Spelling Bee participants
in preparing for the big moment on stage, helping them to
win the spelling bee. In preparation for the big event, some
eSpindle members study
1000 words per week!
eSpindle starts with traditional Spelling Bee words, like those from
the former
Paideia word list, and then moves on
to other typical
Spelling
Bee words.
eSpindle effectively
simulates the
Bee spelling environment:
Listening to an audio file, complemented by additional resources, is
followed by active spelling of the word.
It provides structured tutoring by presenting the more frequently
used
Paideia spelling words prior to the
infrequently used ones - and
coaching the easier words before moving on to the harder ones.
You can choose your starting level for the quiz in the preference
settings. However, since even a supposedly "easy" word can throw you
out of the competition, we recommend to start at the lowest level
and to go through the words systematically. |
|
Step by step the program
introduces nearly 30,000 words, classifying them by how
frequently they are used in Spelling Bees.

eSpindle's patent pending technology will always monitor your progress,
registering which words you know and which ones you need to practice to
win the
National Spelling Bee.
Every time you log back on, a new quiz will be waiting, customized
to your skill level and focusing on your "problem words".
Every word has
direct links to answers.com, ThinkMap's
innovative
Visual Thesaurus, Merriam Webster's
online dictionary and the
Wikipedia
Encyclopedia, so that curiosity can be easily satisfied.
Students will also benefit tremendously from Shirley Brainy’s pages,
explaining
word roots
and offering
learning tips. |

We know that studying for the Spelling Bee is
demanding. That is why we have created a Spelling Bee forum!
Students can connect here with others who are preparing for the
competition, and share motivation, tips and experiences.
In this safe, moderated environment you can find encouragement and
friendship.
It is free for all, but open only to Spelling Bee
participants.
We are delighted to announce that
David Riddle, 2005 National Senior Spelling Bee Champion, has
recently joined the
Spelling
Bee forum. He sent us an amusing report of his moment of fame at
the musical
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
